On Monday, July 25, 1988, Deputy Clark Henry was working normal patrol duties in the 800 block of Aldine Bender when, for unknown reasons, he disregarded a red light at the Hardy Street intersection and collided with another car. Deputy Henry died as a result of a broken neck. He was 64 years old.
