Motorcycle Officer William E. DeLeon was in the process of writing a ticket on the Southwest Freeway. A driver in another vehicle struck Officer DeLeon, throwing him to the pavement. Life Flight Helicopter was called but, despite all efforts, Officer DeLeon died of his injuries.
